Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Our Fancy Hat Parade is a time to come together as a community and display our hat masterpieces. Our students enjoy parading them around for the community to see.
Write a Book in a Day is an annual competition that our school takes part in. We have had incredible success over the years, including winning Best Book NSW/ACT, and Best Book National!
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week, including our annual Book Character Parade.
Our senior and junior dance groups, boys dance group, along with our amazing choir, showcase their talents and wow the audience in the annual Western Liverpool Festival of the Performing Arts.
We love nothing more than celebrating special days with our community. This is why we hold annual events to celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day and Grandparent's Day.
Our bi-annual School Fun Run is an explosion of colour and an event that everyone looks forward to. As well as helping to raise money for the Year 6 Farewell, students enjoy raising money to secure prizes, as well as running through a world of colour.
Each year, we celebrate the cultural diversity within our school for Harmony Day, in order to promote inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone, regardless of background.
"My children have thrived since coming to this school. They have great teachers and great friends and there is always something exciting happening.” — a parent of Green Valley Public School
